Customer Onboarding — Help Guide

What is this?

This page manages all new customer credit applications submitted through the /onboarding public form. Each row is a company that wants to set up a trade account with Canwil Textiles.

The Workflow

  • New — just submitted, not yet reviewed.
  • Pending — trade references contacted, waiting for responses (Net 30) or CC form returned (Credit Card).
  • Approved — account is active. Customer receives an approval email automatically.
  • Denied — application not approved.

Email Actions (expand a row to see them)

  • 📧 Wire Instructions — Sends full Pinnacle Bank wire details to the customer.
  • 📧 Send CC Auth Form — Emails customer a request to return the credit card authorization form. CCs accounting@ and jaya@.
  • 📧 Send Ref Request — Emails each trade reference individually with a web form link + PDF attachment. References submit online or email back. CCs accounting@.
  • ✓ Approve Customer — Sets status to approved, sends approval email to customer, CCs sales@ and jaya@.

Fishbowl ID

Once a customer is set up in Fishbowl, enter their Fishbowl customer ID here to link the records. This helps trace orders back to Fishbowl.

🐟 Fishbowl Export Fields

Click the navy Fishbowl Export Fields bar inside any customer row to expand it. Fill in the fields that Fishbowl needs but your onboarding form doesn't collect:

  • Salesman — which rep owns this account (Chase, Nik, etc)
  • Credit Limit — dollar amount once approved
  • Classification — VIP, Standard, Wholesale, Distributor
  • Carrier / Service / Shipping Terms — how their orders ship
  • Alert Notes — message shown to your team before processing any order for this customer

Once filled in, click ⬇️ Download Fishbowl CSV — it generates a ready-to-import CSV in the exact Fishbowl 43-column format. Import it in Fishbowl under Customer → Import.
